Many people were convinced to work with Stores Online, PMI, and the Tax club. They Talk the good talk. Promise you the moon and the stars. "Don't buy into their scam".

In August 2009, a North Carolina Business Court judge issued a contempt order against iMergent Inc and StoresOnline Inc for failure to provide all refunds covered by the Consent Judgment. The Order set a deadline of the end of August 2009 for the refunds to be issued. The Press Release is available through the following hyperlink: click here

May 6, 2010  Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) announced that the Federal Court found that StoresOnline International Inc. and StoresOnline Inc made misleading and deceptive representations regarding the price of their products and services. In this case it was claimed that there was misleading and deceptive conduct in the promotion and sale of StoresOnline home business e-commerce software packages. The packages were promoted through a series of seminars, primarily to those wishing to set up small businesses online. It was ordered that StoresOnline, since October 2006, had engaged in false and misleading conduct in breach of the Trade Practices Act 1974 in relation to the promotion and sale of its software packages. The particular conduct of StoresOnline found to contravene the Act included: a) at workshops and seminars StoresOnline represented that it offered for sale or sold packages at a "full" price when StoresOnline packages had not been offered for sale or sold at that price in Australia; b) at workshops and seminars StoresOnline represented that it intended to offer StoresOnline packages for sale to workshop attendees at a particular offer price for 90-days from the date of the workshop when it had no such intention and StoresOnline packages were not available for purchase in the period following the workshop; and c) at workshops and seminars StoresOnline represented that the difference between the full price and the 90-day offer price for StoresOnline packages was the amount a consumer could save by attending a Stores Online workshop and purchasing the packages when that level of saving did not exist. The court also ordered that StoresOnline pay the ACCC's costs. The ACCC's full press release is available online at: www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/927068/fromItemId/927069

If you have heard of Stores Online and are thinking of signing up with them I can offer a little insight before you make your decision. You've probably been to the free dinner and are waiting to go to the training seminar. They are very persuasive at the free dinner and I thought I would at least give them a chance at the seminar.
The seminar was informative, but very high pressure.

StoresOnline "F Rating by BBB"

Oft-sued company brings sales pitch here

A Utah-based Internet business has been sued by seven states, given an F rating by BBB.

By Katie Wedell, Staff Writer Updated 10:41 PM Saturday, March 19, 2011

DAYTON — An Internet sales company out of Utah that has been sued by seven states over allegedly misleading business practices is hosting free seminars for new customers in Dayton, Springfield and Hamilton this week.

StoresOnline Inc., previously called IMergent Inc. and Galaxy Mall Inc., has sent information by mail to area residents inviting them to one of eight free seminars.

The mailer includes two tickets for the recipient and a guest to “learn how money is made using the Internet.”

It does not employ some of the tactics that have previously gotten the company in legal trouble, such as promises that those who buy StoresOnline website creation and hosting products will get rich quick or testimonials from paid customers.

In California, a lawsuit alleged the companies falsely promised consumers that they could get rich by selling merchandise over the Internet. The companies have agreed to pay as much as $200,000 per customer in restitution, according to the Better Business Bureau.

Other states have reached similar restitution agreements, but a North Carolina judge issued a contempt order in 2009 after the companies failed to comply with a 2008 judgment and provide refunds to 221 North Carolina consumers.

Under a Florida settlement, StoresOnline and iMergent are prohibited from claiming that their products are easy to use. The invitation sent to local customers implies that entrepreneurs with “little marketing experience” can earn full-time incomes working from home.

According to an online report from the Better Business Bureau in Utah, the BBB has received 803 complaints about StoresOnline in the last 36 months. That pattern of complaints, along with government actions against the company, are cited as reasons why the BBB has issued StoresOnline an F rating.

A StoresOnline media representative could not be reached for information about what is being sold or pitched at the four Dayton seminars which are being held Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26, at the Doubletree Hotel in Dayton.

John North, president and CEO of the Dayton Better Business Bureau, said customers need to use caution and do their research when evaluating a business offer like the one from StoresOnline.

“If they are saying you can make up to $1,000 a week and work from home, those are some big red flags,” he said.

North said other indications that something is a scam could be that they require up-front fees to participate in seminar, or if the company requires the purchase of supplies to participate.

“A lot of the initial seminars are free, but a lot of times they are just scams to get you to come in and spend your money,” North said.

He recommends determining if there is a refund or cancellation policy, and said customers should not rely on the personal testimonies that the company provides, as those people are often paid.

Well they do not claim to be honest or to have integrity, but with so many scam artists out their I have to recommend avoiding StoresOnline as well.

This company targets people who have little or no business experience and leads them to believe they can get rich by developing websites using their software. I would like to add BUYER BEWARE, this company is like a WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING, they don't care if you loose all your life savings and or bankrupt.

These 2 links are GREAT for reach! It's going to take a GrassRoots Effort to put these guys out of business. The key is more class action lawsuits and getting more tv news shows exposing them.

The problem is that many inexperienced customers end up paying around $10,000 for the Stores Online package, some have even paid close to 30k. Stores Online Reviews

Keep in mind this is simply for the programming, hosting, and maintenance of websites. You can sign up for a GoDaddy Website tonight for 5 dollars a month and do better.

Consumer complaints about Stores Online

I was solicited to come to a seminar put on by Storesonline promising a free mp3 player, netbook and lunch for myself and a guest. I was treated very rudely at this seminar. A guy seating people was talking so rudely to an elderly lady in a wheelchair for they had no handicap facility. I made a suggestion to this man and he yelled at me to go sit down. The woman holding presentation asked me to leave.  -

I went to the StoresOnline all day workshop last week. They spent a lot of time trying to get you to buy their software license. They wanted $2700.00 for three websites, and $2200.00 for the next three websites. They want you to fill out a 'confidential' pre-qualification form at the very beginning of the session. They asked for your SSN and Income, where you work, etc. I didn't fill it out because it's none of their business.

In addition, they want you to buy their credit card processor for $999.00 and their estore tool kit for $399/499.

The presentation very high pressure, however, again, they're constantly trying to sell you on their HIGH PRICED products.

I explained to them that I can buy e-commerce software from off the shelf that's just as good and very in-expensive and get a hosting package for 10.00 a month. At that point that asked me to leave.

People were buying their product right there on the spot without having any product, or product sources. They know how to "capture people."

Let the buyer beware.
